As a former Magistrate with the Hamilton County Juvenile Court, Ross Evans limits his practice exclusively to family law. Ross is one of the Founders of the Cincinnati Academy of Collaborative Professionals (www.collaborativelaw.com), in addition to serving as President and Board Member of the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals (www.collaborativepractice.com ) for 6 years. The goal of the collaborative process is to empower clients to resolve their differences in a respectful manner, which permits them to retain control over the outcome rather than give it over to the court.
Ross has significant experience and expertise in handling complex domestic relations matters in both domestic relations and juvenile courts. He has also worked with clients in all alternative dispute resolution processes, settlement or litigation. He serves as a Guardian Ad Litem in the Hamilton County Domestic Relations and Juvenile Courts and is qualified by the Ohio Supreme Court to mediate family law matters and serve as a parenting coordinator.
Ross has a large practice representing third party custodians. He represents the Hamilton County Board of County Commissioners overseeing the Hamilton County Department of Jobs and Family Services as Ombudsman, lectures on Family law matters for the Cincinnati and Ohio State Bar Associations, and is regularly called upon by the media as a local expert on Juvenile Court and Family Law matters. He has appeared before the Ohio Supreme Court on Family Law issues.
Awards and Honors
In 2004, Ross received an AV rating by Martindale-Hubbell. This rating is reserved for attorneys who demonstrate the highest degree of knowledge, professionalism, and ethics. In 2012, he received an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell, representing the highest possible rating in both legal ability and ethical standards reflecting the confidential opinions of members of the bar and judiciary. Since 2010, Ross has been designated as a “Super Lawyer” and “Top Attorney” in Ohio.
Ross is a Founder of the Cincinnati Academy of Collaborative Professionals and has served as President and on the executive committee since 1997. He has served on the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals Board of Directors since 2010 and has served as Treasurer, President-Elect and President for the 2013/2014 year. Ross is also a member of the Cincinnati and State of Ohio Bar Associations.

Ross has significant involvement in the Cincinnati Community, currently serving on the Boards of The Jewish Federation of Cincinnati and the Skirball Museum of Hebrew Union College and has previously served on the Boards and in leadership positions for Jewish Family Service, University of Cincinnati Hillel, The Jewish Community Center and The Jewish Community Relations Counsel.
