Ross Evans is a Graduate of the University of Cincinnati where he received his BS in Psychology in 1983 and his Juris Doctorate in Law in 1986. 

In 1988, Mr. Evans was appointed a Magistrate with the Hamilton County Juvenile Court where he presided over Custody, Visitation, Paternity and Delinquency cases until 1996.

Mr. Evans left the bench to join the law firm of Katz, Greenberger & Norton LLP where he served as Managing Partner from 2003 until 2016 when the Firm closed.   Mr. Evans has now been in private practice for over 27 years and focuses exclusively on Collaborative Practice, Mediation, Limited Scope Representation and serves as a Guardian Ad Litem and Parenting Coordinator in Family Law matters. 

He also serves as a Consultant to the Hamilton County Board of Commissioners with investigatory oversight of the Children’s Services Department of the Hamilton County Department of Jobs and Family Services, a position he has held since 2007.  

In December 2016 along with his long-time Partner, Ellen Essig, Mr. Evans opened Essig & Evans LLP, a boutique firm focusing on Family and Fertility Law.  Mr. Evans has appeared and argued before the Ohio Supreme Court and is admitted practicing before the Supreme Court of the United States.

Mr. Evans, who continues to serve the Court as a Guardian Ad Litem and Parenting Coordinator, is a founding member of the Cincinnati Academy of Collaborative Professionals where he has served on the steering committee since its inception and as the President from 2007 to 2009.  In June 2009, Mr. Evans was elected to serve on the Board of Directors of the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals which is a 4000+ member organization supporting Collaborative Practice throughout the world.  In October 2014, he became President of the IACP and currently continues to serve ex officio on the board and work with Collaborative Practice Groups around the world to support their successful development and growth.  He has served on the faculty and planning committee for the Ohio Judicial College and has lectured regularly for the Cincinnati and Ohio State Bar Associations in Family Law related topics.  He has been ranked as an AV Preeminent Attorney by Martindale Hubbell since 2004 and has been named a Top Attorney in Ohio by Super Lawyers since 2010.
