Rachel is an attorney with Essig & Evans LLP working exclusively in their Fertility Law practice group. She counsels clients in the United States and around the world in surrogacy and egg, sperm, and embryo donation. A mother herself, Rachel understands the emotional journey of becoming a parent. She is honored to assist couples and individuals, regardless of sexual orientation, along their paths.
Prior to joining Essig & Evans LLP, Rachel led the legal department for a national distributor with locations throughout the country. There, her diverse practice included contract negotiations, compliance, and litigation. She was also an adjunct legal writing professor at Loyola University Chicago School of Law and practiced at a national law firm based in Chicago, Illinois.

Rachel graduated from the University of Pennsylvania Law School where she was inducted into the Order of the Coif, and Emory University where she was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa.

In addition to practicing law, Rachel is a social entrepreneur, nature lover, and enthusiastic consumer of the Sunday New York Times (the paper version).
Rachel has served on various boards at local and national levels. She served six years on the Emory College Alumni Board, including as President and President-Elect, and on the auxiliary boards of Common Threads and Steppenwolf Theater.
